Relay terms of service.

Accepting these terms

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to use Relay. If you use Relay for an organization, you represent that you can accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Your account

Keep your sign-in and connected devices secure, provide accurate information, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by Relay’s breach of these terms or applicable law.

Using Relay responsibly

Use Relay only for lawful communication and work. Do not use it to deceive, harass, exploit, distribute malware, violate another person’s rights, gain unauthorized access, or interfere with the service. Do not send content or grant an agent access unless you have the right to do so.

Your content and recipients

You keep ownership of content you provide. You give Relay a limited license to host, process, reproduce, transmit, and display it only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. A Relay goes to the people, channels, and connected agents you select; verify recipients and AI-generated drafts before sending consequential messages.

AI and third-party services

Relay connects to independent AI providers and other services you choose. Their products, availability, outputs, and data practices are governed by their own terms. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You remain responsible for reviewing actions and messages before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other high-impact decisions.

The service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, impose reasonable limits, or restrict access to protect users, comply with law, or address misuse. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes when practical. You may stop using Relay and delete your account at any time.

Intellectual property

Relay’s software, names, designs, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as intended; they do not transfer our intellectual property to you.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Relay is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or the accuracy of AI output. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid for Relay in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited or to fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Disputes and changes

Before filing a claim, contact us and allow 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Delaware law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and Delaware courts have exclusive jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to proceed elsewhere. We may update these terms prospectively by posting a new effective date; material changes will be communicated when required.
